We’re looking for an Accounting Technician
Massy Stores is seeking to recruit a dynamic and experienced individual to fill the position of ACCOUNTING TECHNICIAN – ACCOUNTS PAYABLE at its Head Office.
THE MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
-Reconciles assigned supplier accounts, researching and clearing all outstanding items.
-Liaises with suppliers and store personnel and assists with resolving queries.
-Informs suppliers of agreed payment dates.
-Prepares payment to suppliers on a timely basis adhering to the agreed payment terms.
-Maintains AP database ensuring that all required information are registered.
-Builds and maintains a working relationship with suppliers.
-Files as required by the job.
-Minimum of 5 O’Level passes including English and Mathematics.
-At least 2 years working experience in an Accounts Payable Department.
-Must be pursuing studies in CAT or possess similar accounting qualifications.
-Knowledge of accounting computer application software.
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
-Proactive individual, with good use of initiative.
-Must be detail-oriented with attention to accuracy at all times.
-Produces results and has excellent time management.
-Excellent planning and organizing skills.
